Business Development Manager - Southeast

Job Location: Southeastern U.S.


Gibson Brands, Inc., the world’s premier manufacturer of musical instruments and professional audio equipment is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team.  Gibson is known world-wide for famous brands such as Gibson, Epiphone, Baldwin, Onkyo, Stanton, Cerwin-Vega, and TEAC.


The BDM will work closely with the divisions and their product/marketing managers to agree on the best assortment of product, the best merchandising, the necessary training and product support, a forecast that meets financial targets and any other set of plan activities required.  The BDM will report to the Gibson Vice President of North America.  The position will cover territories in Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, S. Carolina, N. Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi.


  • Grow business through maximizing inventory presentation, sell through, and profit margin for our retail partners
  • Merchandising, Events, and Promotions with retailers to provide maximum exposure and increase sales
  • Building and maintaining rapport with new and existing dealer base
  • Will participate in weekly conference calls, create and maintain activity reports, and identify and expand distribution channels
  • Create and maintain market analysis, meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
  • This position will require frequent travel (>50%) and the remainder working from home


  • 4-year degree in Marketing or related field required, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years successful business background experience as top quota/growth achiever and B2B marketing
  • Musical instrument background helpful, not required
  • This is NOT an entry level position
