Gibson Brands, Inc. the world’s premier manufacturer of musical instruments and professional audio equipment is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to work on current and next generation products to join Cakewalk, Inc. a leading developer of powerful and thoughtfully designed products for the modern musician. As a core member of this dynamic team, you will apply your skills to the creation of cutting edge new features as well as work to resolve defects and maintain existing code. The Software Engineer will work within the organization, collaborating with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Product Management.  This is a true opportunity to help build the future.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Author new features and research solutions
  • Strong debugging skills to solve difficult problems
  • GUI design and programming
  • Expected to work as part of a team and independently from time to time
  • Support cross platform development on Mac OSX, iOS and Windows
  • Work in an agile / collaborative way with the team to maintain high quality and minimize defects

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of general software development
  • Background in Audio, MIDI and Multimedia product development
  • Strong understanding of C++ and working knowledge of C++ frameworks such as STL, BOOST, and JUCE
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of Design Patterns and OO
  • Good time management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Familiarity with multi-threaded programming and practices
