Gibson Brands Inc., the world’s premier manufacturer of musical instruments, is looking for a Technical Support Analyst to join the EMEA Information Technology team. Gibson is continuously growing and changing and for this demanding position Gibson seeks a dynamic and assertive out-of-the-box thinker!

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Technical Support Analyst reviews, analyzes, repairs, performs builds and evaluates Information Technology systems. Participates as part of the IT Help Desk team: answering support tickets and escalating as needed. Participates in IT Technical team projects. Reports to Manager of Data Center Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Expanding current infrastructure and upgrading to latest technologies
  • Participates & Setup projects to develop and implement innovative solutions to business problems/processes
  • Participates in Help Desk functions: answering trouble tickets, allocating tickets to other IT staff as needed, oversees trouble ticket life cycle
  • Will have daily responsibilities and accountabilities as required from IT management
  • Performs PC/Server builds, repairs and participates in overall system monitoring
  • Provides technical assistance to users working towards the resolution of operational problems
  • Creates and maintains accurate system documentation and reports
  • Collaborates with other IT staff company-wide to identify, analyze, and devise solutions to meet business needs
  • Prioritizes inquiries and requests from end users
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • HBO / WO degree in Computer Science or related technical training
  • Familiar with Microsoft(ERP), Cisco and Citrix products
  • Medior/Senior level, minimal 4 year equivalent work experience
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Fluent in English AND/OR Dutch (both preferred)
