Gibson Brands, Inc., the world’s premier musical instrument manufacturer and the home of such preeminent brands as Gibson, Epiphone, Baldwin and Wurlitzer., is looking for a Painter in its Memphis manufacturing operations.
This position includes applying paint and lacquer to wooden guitars. This position requires good hand and eye coordination skills. Performance evaluation is based on both quality and efficiency. Candidate will be expected to work safely, at a quick pace, while maintaining superior quality standards.
Incumbent must be able to stand for an 8 to 10 hour period. Incumbent must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. This job requires a large amount of bending, reaching and twisting upper and lower body. Adequate vision and finger dexterity are required to complete assigned tasks.
This position requires consistent experience that required use of HVLP sprayers. This candidate must possess the ability to distinguish color hues in various lighting in regards to color matching, HVLP, stains, furniture and auto body. Lacquer experience is strongly preferred. Previous factory and machine or auto body painting experience preferred, but not required.
A completed High School Diploma or equivalent required. Incumbent must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language.
