Chuck Berry Double Stops

The king of rock and roll guitar, Chuck Berry has always been a master of the double-stop, or "harmony" lick. These are among the most imitated and recalled licks of all time, and in this lesson you'll really see how they are created.

No lesson on double-stops should ever be without Chuck's renowned style, which has influenced everyone from the Stones to the Beatles, and beyond!

Even though Berry played most of these harmony licks with one finger, we will concentrate on using other fingers as well to gain better control over the bending and harmonic aspects of the licks.—Arlen Roth
