Course I: Lesson 2

Here’s a great way to get started the proper way in using “harmonics” on the guitar! This useful, and beautiful-sounding tool is a great way to bring new sounds and voicings out of your guitar, and in this lesson I will really show you the best way to play them. In this installment, we’ll be focusing on the three strongest locations for harmonics, the 5th, 7th and 12th frets.

There will also be a section on the all-important use of harmonics as a helpful tuning device, and you’ll see that there is no question that they are the best way to truly get your guitar in tune the fast and easy way! So, switch to your treble, or “bridge” pickup, and get ready for a real “harmonic” feast!Arlen Roth
