Down Under
In this lesson, Jordan Phillips teaches you the 80’s New Wave classic hit, “Down Under” by Men at Work.
The Australian rock band released this song in Australia in 1981 and by the middle of 1982 this song had gone number 1 not only in Australia, but in New Zealand, Ireland, Denmark, England and the United States as well. The single sold 2 million copies in the US alone and millions more everywhere else in the world. Men At Work went on to be one of Australia’s biggest rock bands, winning Grammys and selling millions of albums over the course of their career.
This is a fun, rhythmic song to play and not too difficult. With only a few chords, it will allow you to really focus on rhythm and strumming.

Jordan plays a Gibson Custom Les Paul R7 Goldtop in this lesson.
