Jordan Phillips teaches the rock song “Drive” by the band, Incubus.
Incubus existed for 4 or 5 years before their first big commercially successful album single. It was an acoustic ballad called "Drive" (about taking life by the horns). The album was called, Make Yourself, released in November of 2000. “Drive” was the second single released to radio and went #1 on the modern rock charts and peaked at #8 in the top 40 charts. The band won multiple awards for this song.
This is a song you'll enjoy playing acoustically by yourself. It’s very simple but the clever chord structure makes it both interesting and easy to learn. You’ll also enjoy playing the solo in this song.

Jordan plays a Gibson Acoustic Hummingbird and a Gibson Custom ES-335 Block Inlay in this lesson.
