Friends in Low Places
Jason Nix is no stranger to the honkey tonks in Nashville, where he performs on a regular basis. In this lesson, he will teach a country crowd pleaser, "Friends in Low Places", off of Garth Brooks’ album Fences, which was released in 1990.

The idea from the song comes out of a story of one of the song's co-composers not being able to pay for his meal. When he was asked how he planned to pay for his food, he replied, "Don't worry, I have friends in low places. I know the cook."

Jason plays a Gibson J-200 EC in this lesson.

Check out Gibson's Learn & Master Guitar course for more great instruction.
