The Heart of Rock n Roll
Nashville guitarist Adam Stark, from The Kicks, will teach you how to play “The Heart Of Rock and Roll” by Huey Lewis and the News. This song was released as third single off of the band's 1984 album, Sports. The song was written by band members Johnny Colla and Huey Lewis.
In the popular version of this song, the lyric is sung as "The heart of rock and roll is still beating", but originally it was going to be "The heart of rock and roll is in Cleveland". Some say it was originally written that way in honor of a great concert the band had played in that city, or perhaps it was because the rock n roll hall of fame had just been built in Cleveland the same year this song was recorded. Either way, the lyric change seemed to be the right decision. This single was very popular, peaking at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and #5 on the billboard top rock tracks chart.

Adam plays a Gibson Nitrous Les Paul in the lesson.
