The Underdog
Jordan Phillips, from The Kicks, teaches you the song, “The Underdog,” by the indie rock band, Spoon. “The Underdog” was a single from the 2007 album, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. The song was released to radio in July of 2007, peaking at #46, and the album sold over 400,000 copies. It debuted at #10 on the Billboard 200 charts and went #1 on the Billboard independent charts. Additionally, Rolling Stone named Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga one of the best albums of 2007.

Jordan Phillips
    Jordan Phillips was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He picked up a guitar when he was 10 years old. Since then he has been writing, recording, and touring playing rock and roll music. In 2004, he relocated to Nashville, TN where he is now the lead singer and guitar player in the pop/rock band The Kicks. The Kicks have recorded 2 albums (with their 3rd releasing in September 2012) and have spent the past 4 years in North America and Central America, touring and opening for the likes of John Mayer, Los Lonely Boys, Rooney, and Hot Chelle Rae. They also appeared on Austin City Limits in 2011.
