Where I Come From
Nashville Country and Pop artist, Billy Dawson, is back with another lesson just for you. You will be learning “Where I Come From,” which was written and performed by Alan Jackson. This song was off of the album, When Somebody Loves You, from the year 2000. In November of 2001, the song became AJ's eighteenth Number One hit on the Billboard country charts.
In 1985, a chance encounter proved to be a turning point in Jackson's career. His wife, Denise, who was a flight attendant, met country star Glen Campbell at an airport. He listened to Jackson's tape and suggested a move to Nashville, Tennessee, where Jackson became a staff songwriter at Glen Campbell Music.

Billy plays a Gibson Melody Maker Special in the lesson.
