Chords are more than for simply strumming! With an adjustment of a finger here and there, the average chord form can be transformed into a wide array of melodic possibilities. All it takes is some experimentation and the ability to view a chord in a new way. Chords are not just specific shapes – they are collections of tones that can be adjusted to create melodies or even newer chords, all based around a common familiar shape.
This lesson shows you how to take standard chord forms and adjust them to create numerous melodies which are useful in a variety of styles from Rock to Jazz and Fingerstyle to Blues.
