The Guns N’ Roses Chinese Democracy World Tour juggernaut will be swinging through England in mid-October, and Gibson is giving away two tickets to the Birmingham show (October 17) and two tickets to the Manchester show (October 18).

Nashville’s own Brother Trouble have hit the road on a multi-city promotional tour to celebrate the massive success of their debut EP Summer’s Little Angel on iTunes. Beginning in country music’s hometown, brothers Jason and Mark Sutton are taking their signature funky country music to 13 Southern cities from Chattanooga to Atlanta to Charlotte to Knoxville and everywhere in between in five days.

This weekend (September 25-26), rock and rap will collide in the City of Angels. KROQ’s Epicenter TwentyTen will take place at the Auto Club Speedway, just east of downtown Los Angeles. The list of artists spans the worlds of hard rock and rap, including KISS, Eminem, Blink-182, Rise Against, Bush, DMX, Papa Roach, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Bad Religion and Suicidal Tendencies.

Twenty-five year old Johnny Fryer put on a dazzling display of surfing at Newquay’s Fistral Beach over the Bank Holiday weekend to claim the 2010 Quiksilver British National Surfing Championships. Johnny surfed consistently throughout the event in the small but very contestable surf. He showed his true competitive spirit and knowledge to be crowned British champion, and took home a Gibson Les Paul Studio guitar as the champion’s trophy. To support the event, the Gibson Guitar Tour Bus, one of only four in the world, was parked on Fistral Beach to provide a media hub, hospitality and a place to relax for Gibson's special guest artists, media and participating surfers.

Over 200,000 people came to the twin holy grails of British rock festivals to watch bands such as Guns N’ Roses, Arcade Fire, The Libertines, Queens of the Stone Age, Blink-182, Pendulum, Paramore, Klaxons, Weezer, The Gaslight Anthem, Band of Horses, Dizzee Rascal, Modest Mouse, The Cribs, The Maccabees, You Me at Six, Biffy Clyro and Little Fish take to the world famous main stages.

This weekend, FOX News aired a feature on Music Rising. Music Rising was founded by U2’s The Edge, legendary producer Bob Ezrin and Gibson Guitar Chairman and CEO Henry Juszkiewicz with the mission to replace lost or destroyed instruments for schools, churches, community programs and musicians of the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina. The FOX News feature chronicles how Music Rising continues to help to resurrect the music scene that is such an integral part of New Orleans’ culture and economy. Music Rising is administered by the Gibson Foundation.
