Low Notes For Nashville announced today it will host a benefit concert to raise funds for their relief efforts. Iconic bassist Steve Bailey will headline the event, which will also include performances by many top bassists from around the world. The concert will take place on June 17 at Douglas Corner in Nashville, TN.

Guitar players from all over the globe can now not only learn from the greatest guitar teacher in the world — but can also receive a personal grade and critique. Every month, Arlen will give an assignment. The subjects will vary from month to month, hitting every genre. Fans of all experience levels choosing to participate will post a YouTube video in which they incorporate that lesson into a short performance piece. They will submit a link to the video, along with a few related pieces of information, to Gibson.com. Arlen will view the performance, grade it and offer a few notes of advice or commentary.

Gibson Guitar Studio in London last night hosted Harley-Davidson’s Night of Custom, celebrating the art of ‘customization.’

Jeff Beck will stage two intimate performances at New York’s Iridium Jazz Club to honor the late great Les Paul, presented by Gibson Guitar and the Iridium. Titled “A Celebration of Les Paul,” the shows will take place on June 8 and June 9, and will mix memorable Les Paul classics with rockabilly favorites.
