The biggest event of the summer for music manufacturers and dealers is Summer NAMM, held every year in beautiful Nashville, Tennessee. The Music City event showcases the latest designs and newest technology in the musical instrument industry. And this year’s hottest booth should be no surprise: the industry leader, Gibson Guitar.

This year’s Edgefest was an absolute scorcher, in more ways than one. Temperatures for the day were close to 100 degrees and the bands were smokin’ hot.

The Sturgis Buffalo Chip, motorcycling’s largest music festival, will once again bring music to the masses for the 71st annual Sturgis Rally this August in South Dakota. Gibson and Epiphone are pleased to announce the return of the Gibson Summer Jam, which will take place at the Gibson Custom Shop factory on July 23. Gibson Summer Jam 2011 will coincide with the Summer NAMM show, which will take place in Nashville the same week but is not affiliated with Summer Jam.

Gibson.com blogger and all-around guitar badass Billy Morrison will do a signing in Los Angeles to celebrate the recent release of the Gibson USA Billy Morrison Signature Les Paul. The Billy Idol/Camp Freddy/Cult guitarist will appear at the Sam Ash store on Sunset Strip on July 11 at 7 p.m. Fans in attendance can register for the chance to win tickets to see Morrison rock out with Billy Idol this October. Other prizes include a Gibson goodies bag and a unique promo print.

Gibson Guitar will be rocking out with Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum and Blake Shelton at this year’s Country Stampede.
