On Saturday, May 7, hard rock and metal fans descended upon Charlotte, North Carolina, to rock out at the all-new Carolina Rebellion festival. The day-long concert (created by the people behind the Rock on the Range festival) featured performances from Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Stone Sour, Seether, Bullet for My Valentine, Theory of a Deadman, My Darkest Days, Hinder and many more of the best bands in hard rock.

At a recent conference in New York City, Gibson Chairman and CEO Henry Juszkiewicz met privately with Conan musical director Jimmy Vivino and surprised the guitarist with a unique presentation: a Firebird X guitar from Gibson USA. Even though the guitar is not yet in stores, Vivino was able to lay his hands on this much anticipated, groundbreaking instrument.
