Music star and Gibson guitar player Big Kenny Alphin is one of the many country music luminaries rocking stages this weekend at the 2010 CMA Music Festival in Nashville. The Big & Rich star, who has charted a bunch of Top 20 Billboard hits, has been focusing on his solo career lately, including his recent album The Quiet Times of a Rock and Roll Farm Boy.

Gibson.com caught up with Big Kenny after his autograph session on the festival’s opening day. He gave his perspective on CMA Fest, talked about what Nashville means to him and hinted at what he might have in store for his Saturday festival performance. Big Kenny will play at 3:30 p.m. Saturday on the Riverfront Park Stage. Admission to his performance (and all concerts on that stage) is free. The 2010 CMA Music Festival continues through Sunday.
