Gibson will be rocking at the Wakarusa Music Festival from June 2-5 in Ozark, Arkansas. The Gibson Tour Bus will be parked close to the stage at Mulberry Mountain to be part of all the action.
Wakarusa Music Festival started out in 2004 with a diverse and eclectic grassroots musical lineup, and by 2009, the first year it was held in Mulberry Mountain, it was drawing more than 100 top acts.
This year headliners include My Morning Jacket, Mumford & Sons, Ben Harper, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings and Buckethead.
In preparation for the festival, Binky Griptite, emcee and guitarist with Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings said: “I’m looking forward to playing with Grace Potter and the Nocturnals again. They opened a few shows for us last year so now we’ll get a chance to play before them. I’m hoping the schedule allows me to see my friends in The Budos, The Heavy, Grupo Fantasma, and The Pimps of Joytime. I’m hoping to see My Morning Jacket.”
As for Sharon Jones, she says she loves the festival, despite the lack of home comforts. “I love festivals! Even though they can be inconvenient and I don’t like the porta potties, it’s worth it because the audiences are so great.”
