Black Sabbath fans who tuned in to the season finale of “CSI” didn’t have to wait long to see the band in action. The TV crime drama opened with Sabbath performing “The End of the Beginning,” the lead track from the group’s forthcoming new album.

Bob Dylan is now officially an honorary member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Henry Cobb, president of the Academy, praised the 71-year-old Dylan for his contributions to the creative arts.

Who knew Chris Daughtry had the acting bug? As it turns out, the singer auditioned for a small role in The Dark Knight Rises last summer, and although he didn’t get the part, he still has some high hopes for an acting career. Daughtry recently tweeted that although he’s been busy working on the new Daughtry album, he’s also been practicing his acting.

Beatles flick Help! is heading to the small screen. The 1965 movie will arrive on Blu-ray for the first time on June 25, and the offering will include a digitally restored version of the film and 5.1 audio, plus an hour of extra material.
