Johnny Marr is a busy man these days. Just last year the guitarist from The Smiths released his first solo album The Messenger to great acclaim from critics as well as fans. Inspired by this recent success Marr just announced the release of his second solo album. Playland is scheduled for an October 7 release, and is said to continue in the same vein as The Messenger, with Marr once again collaborating with co-producer Doviak.

ZZ Top Forced to Cancel Tour Dates

ZZ Top have been forced to delay the start of their US tour after bassist Dusty Hill was informed he needs to undergo surgery to remove two kidney stones. The stones were found during a routine exam, and Hill’s doctors informed the musician that he should have them removed immediately.
