Jack White suffered a sprained ankle during a gig in San Francisco on August 22. White's label Third Man Records posted a picture of the musician’s severely bruised ankle with the accompanying text: "The camp is pressuring Jack to postpone the rest of the tour but Jack wants the show to go on tonight. See you tonight at the Bill Graham Civic."

Rock n’ roll photographer Gene Kirkland photographed the biggest names in rock and metal throughout the 80s and 90s (and still shoots to this day). Twelve months ago he unearthed a stash of shots that had been unseen since those glory days; images that hadn’t been seen in 20 years - even ones that he hadn’t seen himself!
