Motörhead have yet again been forced to pull the plug on their upcoming European tour, which was set to kick off on February 13 in Glasgow. The cancellation was announced through a statement on the band's website, citing frontman Lemmy Kilmister's ongoing health struggles as the reason for canceling the tour.

In 1996 Def Leppard released what is undoubtedly the band's most experimental album to date. Spurned on by the emergence of grunge, Def Leppard decided to abandon their tried and trusted formula of melodic hooks that had become their trademark over the past decade. Gone was the polished production by Mutt Lange, a man largely responsible for Def Leppard reaching massive success in the first place. Although Slang wasn't a hit in the same way as their previous releases, it was still very well received among the band's hard-core fan base.

Folk Singer and Activist Pete Seeger Dead at 94

Legendary folk singer, and activist Pete Seeger has passed away. Seeger died at the age of 94 at New York-Presbyterian Hospital on January 27. Seeger had his own television series in the 50s, and recorded the number one hit "Goodnight, Irene" with his band the Weavers. In the 1960s he was a proponent of the young Bob Dylan. Seeger was responsible for turning the spiritual “We Shall Overcome” in to an anthem for the American Civil Rights Movement.
