Last week, U2 surprisingly unleashed their new album, Songs of Innocence, free to all iTunes users during Apple’s keynote. That album features the song “The Miracle (of Joey Ramone),” which honors the late Joey Ramone, and the friends and family of Ramone are giving the tune two thumbs up.

As we reported last week, Irish rockers U2 surprised fans when they gave away their new album Songs of Innocence for free to all iTunes users in conjunction with Apple’s keynote. The news was greeted with joy from U2 fans all over the world, but it also caused a bit of controversy, as some iTunes users were upset that the album was forced on them since it automatically appeared in all iTunes accounts.

Red Rocker Sammy Hagar felt the force of hurricane Odile, as it hit the coast of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Sunday night. Hagar has been closely associated with the Baja California town for years, since opening the original Cabo Wabo Cantina there in 1990.

Robert "Throb" Young, the former guitarist for Primal Scream, has died. He was just 49 years old. According to The Guardian, he was found dead in his home in Sussex, England on Tuesday. The cause of death has not yet been revealed, though it is “not being treated as suspicious,” The Guardian reports.
