Metallica is attempting to help in the search for Morgan Dana Harrington, the Virginia Tech college student last seen at a concert staged by the band this past Saturday (March 17). The 20-year-old Harrington went missing just prior to the group’s taking the stage at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville.

U2 Announce 2010 North American Tour Dates

As anticipated, U2 has announced plans to bring its 360 Tour back to North America in 2010. Kicking off in Anaheim, California, on June 6, the tour includes 12 cities thus far – including two in Canada and 10 in the U.S. – and finishes up at New Meadowlands Stadium in New York. Starting today (Oct. 27), U2.com subscribers can take advantage of a pre-sale offering for tickets to shows in Oakland, Toronto, and Edmonton. Regular ticket sales begin on November 2.

It looks like the self-titled debut album by Them Crooked Vultures is arriving sooner than we expected. On Thursday, the hard-rock supergroup of the Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl, Queens of the Stone Age frontman Joshua Homme and former Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones announced that its record would come out on Nov. 17.

Of U2 has announced that the band’s concert this Sunday (Oct. 25) at the Pasadena Rose Bowl in California will be streamed live, for free, on YouTube. According to BBC News, U2 manager Paul McGuinness said that since plans already called for the show to be filmed, it was “the perfect opportunity to extend the party beyond the stadium.”
