Attorneys for legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne have filed a lawsuit against the singer’s longtime Black Sabbath bandmate, Tony Iommi, alleging the guitarist has illegally assumed sole ownership of the band’s name and trademark.

John Bonham’s Chinese Gong to be Auctioned Next Month

A Chinese gong once used by Led Zeppelin’s legendary drummer John Bonham hits the auction block next month, with an estimated final price expected to fall somewhere between $80,000 - $120,000. The huge brass gong with two painted Chinese characters was consigned to the U.K.’s Bonhams (no relation) auction house by the late drummer’s sister, Deborah, and his mother, Joan. It is set to be auctioned at Bonhams’ gallery in Los Angeles on June 14, as part of the Peter Golding Collection of Rock and Roll Art and Animation Art auction.

Buckcherry will serve as the opening act for KISS for all dates on the latter’s upcoming North American tour, both groups announced yesterday. The tour, which gets underway in September, drew attention last month with the news that KISS had partnered with the website Eventful in a process that allows fans to select, via majority vote, which markets will comprise the tour.

Depeche Mode lead singer Dave Gahan has undergone successful surgery to remove a tumor from his bladder. In a statement posted on the group’s website, the band says doctors have ordered Gahan to take a break until at least June 8, in order to “ensure that he makes a full recovery.”
