It’s been a few years, but Rob Halford and the guys of Judas Priest are ready to serve up some new tunes, as Halford has just confirmed that Judas Priest’ upcoming studio release will arrive next year.

The band dropped the news via a special Christmas message on their official website. In the note, the men also wished their fans a “very metal New Year,” in true Judas Priest spirit.

Judas Priest’s upcoming album, which is the follow-up to 2008's “Nostradamus,” will be the band’s first without K.K. Downing, who left the band in 2011. Richie Faulkner is currently on guitar.
