Liam Gallagher's Oasis spin off Beady Eye released their second album yesterday (June 10). The album, which is titled BE, is produced by Dave Sitek, who also produced the band's first album, and it’s the follow-up to the band’s 2011 debut release Different Gear, Still Speeding. In a promotional video clip released by the band, Sitek says of BE: "This will go out into the world, and our work is done, and that's our primary responsibility. And the gift that we get from doing something like this is, is the present. Like, when we press play."
Aside from Liam Gallagher, Beady Eye is comprised of fellow Oasis band mates Gem Archer, and Andy Bell, as well as drummer Chris Sharrock, and bassist Jay Mehler. Beady Eye will be touring in support of BE, starting with a show at The Ritz in Manchester on June 19. Aside from a concert in Tokyo, Japan on August 10, the tour will continue throughout Europe until August 23, where the band wraps up with a gig at the Cabaret Vert Festival in France.
