Bob Dylan is offering a sneak peek into an album he’s planning to release this fall. Streaming at the singer’s website is a heartfelt cover of Frank Sinatra’s “Full Moon and Empty Arms,” a 1945 hit penned by Buddy Kaye and Ted Mossman, adapted from a Rachmaninoff piano concert. The website also features what appears to be the album’s cover image, sporting the presumed title, Shadows of the Night.
A spokesperson for Dylan told Rolling Stone, “This track is definitely from a forthcoming album due later on this year.” No other details were specified. Meanwhile, the veteran singer-songwriter is preparing to do a series of European dates, beginning June 16 in Ireland and continuing through July 17 in Finland. His most recent studio album was the 2012 release, Tempest.
