A biopsy undergone by Queen’s Brian May has come back negative, the veteran guitarist has revealed. Symptoms experienced by May prompted physicians to perform the procedure last week, in order to check for the presence of prostate cancer. In a post on his website, May said a specialist has since given him the news that no cancer cells were detected. “I am—thank God—in the clear,” wrote May. “It’s a great relief.” May joked that he “celebrated in the studio with a cup of tea.” “Hey, I know how to rock!” he added. The 66-year-old guitarist said there were “still some mysteries to solve” regarding his symptoms, but he was “taking a moment to count his blessings, and get back into life in the big wide world.” He also thanked fans for their concern. “I never realized I was so much thought of,” he wrote.
