Country boy Kenny Chesney is using his clout for the greater good. The singer, songwriter and guitarist has joined up with the Music and Memory organization to assist the group in servicing personal music players to people with Alzheimer’s disease.
“The gift of a music player full of favorite songs can help reconnect people with Alzheimer’s to good memories and to the people around them, and that's a ray of hope for a lot of people,” Kenny said in a PSA for the Music and Memory organization.
The Music and Memory website reports those suffering from Alzheimer’s who listen to their favorite music have experienced improved mood and increased socialization. For more information and to lend support, head to the Music and Memory website.
