As Motorhead is taking a break from touring due to mainman Lemmy Kilmister’s health problems, Lemmy is using his downtime to work on music for his upcoming solo album. Speaking to Revolver (via Classic Rock), it seems Lemmy is nowhere near calling it quits: “After I get get better we’re going to try to tour again. If I can’t do that full-on, I want to do another album with Head Cat [Kilmister’s rockabilly band]. And, of course, I want to do a couple more Motorhead records.”

But before any of these projects make it to the studio, Lemmy wants to complete the solo album he’s been working on since 2004: “...the next thing I’ve got coming out is my solo album, which is almost done. There are two tracks with the Reverend Horton Heat, two with The Damned, a track with Dave Grohl and a track with Joan Jett.” Aside from these guest artists, Kilmister is also planning to record with Skunk Anansie singer Skin before the album is done. Says Lemmy about the project: “It’s not Motorhead; but it’s great rock’n'roll.”
