Machine Head Bassist Quits
Machine Head have announced the bass player’s departure in a statement, "Machine Head and bassist Adam Duce have parted ways. The split is amicable, and Machine Head would like to wish Adam the best with his current and future endeavors. The band will continue on for the time being as a three-piece and have begun the writing process for their follow-up to 2011's Unto The Locust."
Duce had been with Machine Head from the beginning and he was always a big part of their live energy, so he'll definitely be missed. No word yet on a replacement. My personal favourite Adam Duce memory was when Machine Head supported Slayer on an Australian tour in the early Noughties. Duce strolled into the mens' room (which was sort of behind the stage), did what he had to do, said hi to a few fans then said "Excuse me, I just have to do something." Then he ran at full speed, jumped up onto the stage, bolted past Slayer's Jeff Hanneman and launched himself headfirst into the crowd.
Oh yeah and musically he really had it together too.
