Mike Bradford raves about the EB Bass

Mike Bradford, bass player, producer and artist, has worked with some on the biggest names in rock and roll, from Ringo Starr to Kid Rock.

Raised in Detroit, Bradford chose rock overMotown, inspired by the power of Deep Purple’s Roger Glover and the musicality of rock and roll bass greats, Jack Bruce and John Paul Jones.

After working with Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker in the early 2000s, Bradford produced two Deep Purple albums before adding his instrumental and production skills to rock legends Dave Stewart and Stevie Nicks.

A multi-instrumentalist, Bradford is primarily a bassist and has recently become a huge fan of the Gibson Five-string EB Bass.

He says: “The Gibson EB-5 gives me everything I expect from a Gibson. Power, sound, looks and great craftsmanship. But I also got something unexpected, a completely new approach to tone. The EB-5 is the most versatile bass that Gibson has ever made. Both pickups have coil taps, giving me a wide variety of tones. Plus it's as punchy as a room full of heavyweights! I've used it on rock, pop and jazz recordings, as well as a short tour, and I've only had it for a few weeks! If you only get one bass, you won't go wrong with this one. Well done, my brothers!”
