Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington's involvement with Stone Temple Pilots is proving to be more than just a one-off event. The rockers have announced a fall tour with Bennington as lead singer, as well as the release of an EP.
The tour starts in Bethlehem, PA on September 4, and will take Stone Temple Pilots on a 14-date trek across the States, playing moderately small venues, like the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. The tour ends in Las Vegas on September 27, but the band has also scheduled a show at Hard Rock Live in Biloxi, MS, on November 1.
The new EP is scheduled to be released sometime during the fall. Fans have already had a chance to hear Bennington's vocals with STP on the track "Out of Time," and it sounds like - Stone Temple Pilots. Bennington spoke to Rolling Stone about working with his new band mates back in May: "When you get together and put a new piece in, there's a whole different energy. For us the creative juices have just been flowing – we've been writing, we have tons of great ideas."
