Robby Krieger, founding guitarist of the Doors, is gearing up to hit the road this summer with his solo project, Robby Krieger's Jam Kitchen. The group is set to launch the tour on Aug. 9 at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip Music Festival in Sturgis, S.D., and wrap up Sept. 1 at the Plaza Live in Orlando, Fla., with additional tour dates possibly on the way. The tour will run through a few major markets, including Chicago, New York City, Boston and Detroit (Ferndale). Check out the full itinerary below.
Krieger’s touring lineup consists of bass player Arthur Barrow and keyboardist Tommy Mars, who both worked with the late Frank Zappa, as well as drummer Tom Brechtlein and former War saxophonist Larry Klimas.
