Green Day have released a generous amount of film footage from the 40-song set they staged at New York’s Irving Plaza last month.
As reported by NME.com, the video includes such fan favorites as “Hitchin a Ride,” “Letterbomb” and “American Idiot.” The show was filmed shortly before frontman Billie Joe Armstrong checked himself into a rehab clinic.
Earlier this week, Warner Brothers Records executive Rob Cavallo said he didn’t know if Armstrong would leave rehab before Christmas. Meanwhile, Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt says the band remains strongly united behind Armstrong. “Billie doesn't take things lightly and he wouldn't take rehab lightly, either," Dirnt told Kerrang. "He's in the middle of some really big things, but we're going to pull through. Green Day has never been a band that sits still, but sometimes you have to step back and let life go on rather than try to control everything."
