Green Day’s much-anticipated music video for “The Forgotten” made its debut on MTV last night (Oct. 30). As the first video from the soundtrack to the final “Twilight” film, Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, the clip mixes shots of the band with footage from the movie, which hits theaters on Nov. 16. A towering ballad, “The Forgotten” recalls such past Green Day offerings as “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" and "Wake Me Up When September Ends."

“When we were asked to be part of the Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 soundtrack, we readily agreed because the films are an insane cultural phenomenon,” Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt recently told Yahoo!. “We have always been impressed with the way the ‘Twilight’ soundtracks are so carefully curated.” The film soundtrack is set for release November 13.
