Some of Les Paul’s most famous guitars and musical equipment were auctioned by Julien’s this past weekend.
A very rare 1982 prototype sold for a staggering $180,000, according to Reuters.
Another historic item, a 1940s Epiphone Zephyr, a.k.a. "Klunker #3," sold for $144,000.
The sale raised in excess of $5 million for the Les Paul Foundation, an organization founded by the iconic guitarist and inventor to support music education, engineering and medical research.
