New Black Keys Album on the Horizon
The Black Keys' drummer Patrick Carney has confirmed in an interview with CBS Local that he and band mate, singer and guitarist Dan Auerbach are getting ready to record the follow-up to El Camino, which was released in late 2011. Says Carney: "We’re going to start making a new album in January and we’re going to tour a little more in the spring."
The band are hoping to collaborate yet again with producer Danger Mouse, the man responsible for updating the Keys' sound from straight-up blues rock to a more accessible and hit-laden sound. Carney said: "I talked to him [Danger Mouse, aka Brian Burton] on the phone a couple weeks ago to see what his schedule is like...If we ever work with a producer, it’s always going to be him."
