Alnico II. Magnet Material Tonal Characteristics
The slanted NHT humbucker in the bridge position provides thick, creamy, crunchy tones, while being splittable for singl-coil twang; the NSX single-coil pickup in the middle combines for funky "out-of-phase" tones or provides snappy sounds on its own; and the NHR mini-humbucker in the neck position serves up smooth, vocal warmth with impressive clarity. The split-coil setting offers outstanding single-coil tones that, combined with the Nighthawk's 25-1/2" scale length, excel at everything from twang to jangle to rival those of classic '50s bolt-neck guitars. All are double-wax-potted to avoid microphonic squeal at high volume levels.
