Body
Species
Each Explorer GT is crafted from solid mahogany.
Tonal Characteristics
The Explorer GT’s solid-mahogany body presents the classic voice of this time-tested tonewood. It blends outstanding warmth and richness with impressive clarity and note definition, all of which cranked powerfully through your amp by its high-output humbucking pickups.
Design
The Explorer GT is designed along the lines of the classic Explorer, first released in 1958, but with a scaled-down body size to make it comfortable and easy to play, without sacrificing an ounce of tone or power.
Finish
Color
The Explorer GT is available in Worn Black finish.
Worn Black
Surface Texture
The Explorer GT is hand finished in a coat of thin satin finish, to give the guitar a naturally aged look and feel.
