Body
Species
TThe body is carved from solid mahogany and topped with a carved hard maple cap. The maple-mahogany wood combination, one of the most legendary pairs in the history of the solid and semi-solid electric guitar, yields a "best of both worlds" tonal splendor that couples warmth and definition, while also producing a classic look and a sturdy instrument.
Tonal Characteristics
The Joe Bonamassa Les Paul's body woods present a tonal marriage made in heaven, offering a combination of good clarity, definition and treble bite from the maple, and excellent depth and richness from the mahogany, with punchy mids and warm lows, all of which are elements that are found in the classic Les Paul Standard tone.
Design
The Joe Bonamassa Les Paul follows with the timeless lines of the original Les Paul Standard, with a gently arched carved top and rounded lower bout, making it one of the most proven and tonally exalted electric guitar designs in history.

Process
The Joe Bonamassa Les Paul is hand-finished in four coats of premium urethane in a process that insures minimum build up to retain a ringing, resonant instrument. The final coat is allowed to dry, then hand-buffed to a high-gloss texture.
