A Real Les Paul, Only Smaller!
In every sense the LP-Express is a genuine Epiphone LP, made to more compact dimensions. To maximize the potential of its scale length, Epiphone has added in several other clever design touches. The use of a hard maple neck in conjunction with the traditional mahogany body provides added clarity and definition and extra high end "bite" to the overall tone, beautifully offsetting the looser string tension created by the shorter scale length. The neck is secured with four recessed screws for outstanding upper-fret access, and the use of a fully adjustable bridge with through-body stringing adds the solidity and sustain to the tone that are too often missing from other short-scale guitars, while easing restringing considerably. And to make sure tuning stays tight and true—solving another potential issue with some short-scale electrics—Epiphone has given the LP-Express premium 14:1 ratio diecast tuners to ensure excellent tuning accuracy and stability.
As a bonus, a custom "Express sized" padded gigbag is included with every guitar making it the perfect travel companion, and of course Epiphone's Limited Lifetime Warranty with 24/7/365 Customer Service keep your covered.
Body and Finish
Like many classic Epiphone and Gibson tone machines, the LP-Express is made from solid, resonant mahogany, carved to the legendary Les Paul "singlecut" design, but scaled down for smaller players. It is completed with a gloss worn Ebony Black finish to give it a great look and feel.

Neck, Headstock and Fingerboard
The LP-Express carries a bolt-on maple neck with a 1960s-era SlimTaper™ profile, tilted Epiphone headstock, and rich brown rosewood fingerboard, all important components in its feel and tone. It is built to a shorter 22" scale length to suit younger or smaller players, although it still has the feel of a full-sized guitar.

Pickups and Electronics
The LP-Express carries a pair of high-output USA-designed humbucking pickups and a no-nonsense control array of three-way switch and master volume and tone controls. This configuration gives the LP-Express all the power and sonic versatility that have helped to make its bigger siblings legendary in the guitar world.

Hardware
The LP-Express is equipped with a complement of quality components, including a fully adjustable bridge with six independent saddles and through-body stringing for enhanced tone and sustain. It also carries high-quality diecast tuners with a 14:1 turn ratio to help keep the guitar's tuning accurate and tight, despite the lower string tension of the shorter scale.
