Tuning Keys
The headstock of the Slash "Appetite" Les Paul is equipped with vintage style tuners with "tulip" buttons and an efficient 14:1 gear ratio.
Trussrod Cover
As with the original Les Paul Standard, the truss rod cover on the Slash "Appetite" Les Paul is made from black and white vinyl plastic, and is shaped like an antique bell.
Strap Buttons
The guitar carries nickel-plated strap buttons made from die-cast steel.
Strings
The Slash "Appetite" Les Paul is fitted with strings, sizes .010-.046, made with a Swedish steel hex core.
Pickguard
As preferred by Slash himself, this guitar carries no pickguard.
Bridge
The Slash "Appetite" Les Paul carries Epiphone's Locktone™ Tune-o-matic bridge. This legendary bridge provides a firm seating for the strings, allowing the player to adjust and fine-tune the intonation and string height in a matter of minutes. It also yields excellent coupling between strings and body, maximizing resonance, tone, and sustain. The Locktone™ upgrade of this classic piece of hardware now stays in place with all strings removed, and provides and even tighter coupling between bridge and posts. This Tune-o-matic is made from zinc and nickel plated to echo the look of an original Les Paul Standard.
Tailpiece
Every Tune-o-matic bridge is combined with a separate "stopbar" tailpiece, which is essentially a modified version of the earlier wraparound bridge that's designed to further enhance the connection between the strings and the body. The Slash "Appetite" Les Paul's carries a nickel-plated zinc Locktone™ stopbar, which provides a firm coupling between the tailpiece and its studs.
Control Knobs
The control knobs on the Slash "Appetite" Les Paul are Epiphone's gold top-hat knobs with silver inserts.
