Body
Species
Both the top and back of each Les Paul Supreme are carved from highly figured two-piece Grade-AAAA maple stocks and attached with ultra-strong Franklin Titebond 50 glue to a chambered mahogany body core.
Tonal Characteristics
The Les Paul Supreme's body woods pay stunning tribute to that legendary Les Paul combination of good clarity, definition and treble bite from the maple, and excellent depth and richness from the mahogany. This is one of the most revered wood combinations of all time, and truly offers a "best of both worlds" design in the way that mahogany and maple complement each other to offer superior resonance, sustain, depth, clarity, and definition.
Design
The Les Paul Supreme precisely follows the body lines and dimensions of the original late-'50s Les Paul Standards, with a gently arched carved top and rounded lower bout, and combines the classic tonewood combination of mahogany back and carved maple top. It differs in the inclusion of a figured maple back, a stunning visual touch on this model.
Available Finishes
Color
The Les Paul Supreme is available in two classic 'burst finishes: Heritage Cherry Burst and Desert Burst.

Surface Texture
Just as original 'Bursts were finished 50 years ago, the Les Paul Supreme is given a striking, well-buffed, nitro-gloss finish with a high sheen factor of 90, resulting in an instrument that embodies pure class.
Process
The Les Paul Supreme is hand-finished in nitrocellulose in a process that closely replicates the finishing process applied to original Les Pauls. This is closely monitored to ensure minimum build-up, in an effort to produce a finish that breathes with the guitar and enhances natural resonance, and will age elegantly and naturally to continually enhance the appearance of this custom-grade instrument.
