A Tribute to Les Paul

A Signature Les Paul for Les's Longtime Bandmate
Marrying the time-tested tonewood combination of mahogany and maple, the Lou Pallo Signature Les Paul offers classic Les Paul sustain and resonance, with a little less of the weight thanks to some strategic body weight-relief, which also adds some air and roundness to the instrument's midrange response. All of the mahogany's depth and richness and the maple's snap and definition are further enhanced by the guitar's glued-in, one-piece Grade-A mahogany neck, which contributes to the sustain that has helped to make Les Pauls famous for six decades.
The guitar's fast but comfortably rounded '50s neck profile feels great in the hand, and offers the kind of playing room that guitarists prefer in a Gibson, thanks to the 1-11/16" width of its nut—made from dense, resonant Corian, and cut on the PLEK for optimum precision. A chrome-plated Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece add to the traditional hardware set, while providing rock solid anchoring and precision intonation adjustment, and a set of Tone Pro Kluson-style tuners with pearloid tulip buttons are both elegant and efficient up at the other end.
To take this refined tonal elegance to your amp of choice, the Lou Pallo Signature Les Paul blends both hot and sultry in the pickups department. A P-90 in the neck position provides all the thickness and warmth with enhanced high-end sparkle that has made this single-coil beloved for more than 60 years. In the bridge position, a smokin' Dirty Fingers humbucker gives you all the grind and muscle you could want for high-gain rock, while excelling at smokey, biting jazz and fusion excursions as well. Add it all up, and it's an extremely versatile guitar, something quite different in a Les Paul, yet an instrument that retains great depths of history and tradition: a fitting tribute to a performer who was a friend and collaborator of one of electric guitar's great founders, and a great artist in his own right.
Every guitar in this 400 unit worldwide limited run will be hand-numbered. Plus, each guitar comes protected in a plush-lined hardshell case with black exterior, and includes adjustment and warranty literature, along with Gibson's Limited Lifetime Warranty and 24/7/365 customer service.

Neck, Fingerboard and Headstock
The guitars neck and are made in the classic tradition of the original Les Paul. Carved from a single piece of quarter-sawn Grade-A mahogany, and topped with a rosewood fingerboard, the design incorporates a 17-degree back-angled headstock, which contributes greatly to the instrument's resonance and sustain and has long been recognized as one of the building blocks of the legendary Les Paul Standard tone.
