Pickups Models
The Lou Pallo Signature Les Paul is equipped with a creative pair of pickups, including a P-90 single-coil in the neck position, and a Dirty Fingers humbucker in the bridge.
Magnet Material
Gibson's P-90 uses two Alnico V bar magnets; the Dirty Fingers has three ceramic magnets.
Tonal Characteristics
In the bridge (lead) position, the Dirty Fingers excels at driving rock tones through high-gain amplification, with plenty of muscle for crunching rhythm and singing lead tones, and phenomenal sustain. It's also a versatile unit for jazz and fusion, however, with excellent clarity and a thick, throaty voice. The P-90 in the neck position offers classic warmth and depth, with that legendary single-coil pickup's silky-sweet high-end response.
Electronics
Volume Controls
The Lou Pallo Signature Les Paul uses an independent Volume control for each pickup. These consist of quality 300k linear potentiometers for a smooth, natural roll-off.
Tone Control
The guitar's two independent Tone controls consist of quality 500k non-linear potentiometers, each with a .22mF tone capacitor for a broad, usable range from these controls.
Toggle Switch
The Lou Pallo Signature Les Paul features the classic three-way Switchcraft toggle switch with cream plastic tip.
Output Jack
The guitar features a 1⁄4" output jack made by Switchcraft, for years of trouble-free service.
