The Assault 220 & 220FR’s solid-mahogany body presents the classic voice of this legendary tonewood. It blends outstanding warmth and richness with impressive clarity and note definition from the guitar’s solid maple top, all of which is translated brilliantly by its Alnico V humbucking pickups.  
Design
The Assault 220 & 220FR are designed as an update of the classic single-cutaway electric guitar, with a sharper, more recessed cutaway horn than the archetypal Les Paul. They also are thinner and lighter. Body Design
