5 Minutes Alone
Trent Swartzentruber teaches the hit metal song, “5 Minutes Alone,” by Pantera. This song was featured on their 1994 album, Far Beyond Driven. The song actually stems from an infamous concert Pantera had in San Diego. There was a guy heckling singer, Phil Anselmo, and he finally had enough, so he incited the crowd to beat up the heckler.
After the show, the heckler sued the band. His dad called the manager, and his exact quote was, “You just give me five minutes alone with that Phil Anselmo guy, and I’ll show him who’s big daddy around here.” Phil’s response was, “You just give me five minutes with that cat’s dad and I’ll whoop his ‘rear end.’” *Edited for content.
On December 8th, 2007, members of Lamb of God, DevilDriver, Soilwork, and Killswitch Engage covered “5 Minutes Along.” They played it memory of the 3rd anniversary of guitarist, Dimebag Darrel’s death. It featured 3 vocalists, 5 guitarists, and 3 drummers.

Trent plays an Epiphone Zakk Wylde Graveyard Disciple in the lesson.
